Some folks think that heaven is a place that is afar.
Some folks think it's hidden high above the highest star.
They have not been able to define it so it seems,
For heaven is within and it's at hand.

When I think of David on the battlefield,
He knew God was stronger than a sword and shield.
When he fought Goliath, he was not alone.
God was right there with him guiding that small stone.

How easy, now, to criticize another,

To try to quench the Spirit Who has filled.

With each trial that comes in like a flood,
The vision of that firm, eternal hope
becomes more focused.
The voice of God that brings be faith

And boastful human strength
Is shown to foolishly fall short,
Not reaching even near the mark
Of what creation needs.
